If you ask the post office to hold your mail will they also hold deliveries?

im going out on a business trip and i asked my mail service to be held but i might have a package delivered so are they stopping the package from being delivered too

It depends who delivers them.  If they come through the regular mail, they will be held with your mail.  However, if they come through a private company like FedEx, then it will be based on your agreement with that company.
