  1. I didn't lose weight, break out in spots or lose my hair, what I did do by becoming vegetarian was to stop supporting the cruel factory farming industry.  When I went vegan I lost a few pounds, still kept all my hair and didnt have any break outs in my skin.

  2. If you go from eating fairly unhealthy to eating a proper Vegetarian or Vegan diet, you may lose some weight. no you won't break out, unless you just eat a ton of greasy pizza, no you won't lose your hair...

  3. Most do and are healthier

  4. Lose weight?  That would depend on what you are eating.  Being a vegetarian is generally a healthy choice but if you eat too much dairy (milk, cheese, eggs) then you will gain weight.

Skin break out?  I wouldn't think so.  I have good skin and I've been veggie for over 20 years.

Lose hair?  Not me anyway, I have very thick wavy hair.

  5. Weight loss is possible but not for sure.  You can gain weight from anything if you don't eat it in moderation.  My skin has never broken out, I have no idea why it would, if anything it'd get clearer from eliminating all the excess hormones in your body.  As long as you get a sufficient amount of protein your hair will not fall out.

It sounds to me like you're interested in vegetarianism for aesthetics more then morals.  Think about why you want to be a vegetarian, because if it's something that's only about looks for you, you'll probably never stick to it.

  6. A vegetarian diet does not cause hair loss.

I have a very thick head of hair- everyone comments on it's thickness- sometimes even people passing me in the street!

  7. You lose weight if you burn more calories than you eat.  You can be a vegetarian and eat nothing but pizza and french fries.  If you eat a healthy vegetarian diet with lots and fruits and veggies, it can help you be healthier or lose weight, but becoming vegetarian in no means guarantees that you'll lose weight.  Some people even gain weight because they tend to eat more carbs, like pasta and rice, because they don't know what else to eat.  As long as you eat a balanced diet, you shouldn't break out or lose your hair.

  8. If you eat a balanced veg diet, you will be healthier than the average meat eater. Your skin and hair will benefit from the better quality nutrients you'll be getting from all the healthy plant pased food.

  9. Yes, you would lose weight. Meat is high in saturated and unsaturated fat. No your skin doesn't break out if you become a vegetarian. I myself am a vegetarian and I have fairly clear skin. My hair is really healthy also. Just drink lots of milk and eat lots of vitamins and protein. Being a vegetarian is great! :)
