If you believe in clairvoyant abilities?

hi. i would only like to hear from people who believe in this. i went to see a lady once who told me i wouldn't move abroad - which is my ultimate dream and goal after i graduate. i am not an addict, i only went to see this lady because i trusted her, she was on tv and helped many people for no money at all. so, i guess my question doesn't make much sense, i just feel sad about what she said and she was right about everything else - and the question is, since i create my own destiny i shouldn't feel bad about it, right? thanx ps) this lady has passed away. i won't visit another clairvoyant person.

It is all fake and I wouldn't hold my breath! You ARE the maker of your own destiny so take hold of it and run! Dont let other peoples thoughts and suppossed premonitions hold you back. Because honestly I think they are all fake!

Maybe she wasn't so much clairvoyant as had a good grasp of immigration laws? You can't just move overseas you know, most countries have strict criteria which must be met. Maybe she was politely trying to tell you that you would never make the grade?

This woman couldn't see the future any more than you or I can.  She was either guessing based on what she learned about you or else she was making it up out of whole cloth.  I say you disregard her advice and take control of your life.  Don't allow her to stand in the way of accomplishing your goals.  As it is now you're living a self-fulfilling prophecy.

For god's sake travel.  Prove her wrong.  Once you do will you acknowledge that psychics are full of it?

I'm sorry you chose to give credence to a charlatan.  But I am grateful that you have provided an illustration of the pitfalls of magical thinking.

you are right :)  You create your own destiny and divination is just a guide so to say :) I totally believe in it and in clairvoyance and stuff but I dont believe that it is the final say. You have the final say. So if you still wanna move abroad you just need intention, will, and action :)

Well, the one thing you have correct, is the you create your own destiny. There is a simple yet powerful phrase that will get you whatever you desire. It is a simple statement of ten words of only two letters each:

                "If it is to be, it is up to me".

It matters not if there exists any special abilities of clairvoyance or not. What matters is your belief in you.

I believe in psychic abilities in the sense that the brain is a vastly complex organ that we are barely starting to understand and that has the ability to recieve and interpret information faster than our greater concsiousness can understand it or acknowledge it. I don't think it is fair to say that psychics completely full of it.

But I don't think that the lady you visited should be treated with a grain of salt. Many people who claim to be psychic are just really good at reading body language or doing research and are too lazy to get a real job. Some are also just desperate for attention.

I also don't believe in predestination. If she told you that you wouldn't accomplish your dreams, first off she should be ashamed of herself for misusing her assumed authority. But if she was right, then that would mean that fate is set and that we have no free will. Peter is right - don't let her ruin your dreams, prove her wrong and do what you want.

It's EASY to move overseas if you're from the right country.

Usually for about 6 months you're allowed but then you need a green card or you have to leave.

Lyric, you can do anything you want!!

I also have another friend who decided to travel the whole world with nothing but a money for plane tickets..He succeeded just fine!

A lot of psychics that are real and have good intentions, sometimes get messages for others that they have no idea are untrue.

In the end, it is not whether you are told the truth or not, it is whether the information causes a valuable effect in your life.

So I guess the question is, how bad do you want it? How do you know that the message this lady recieved for you was only to make you want it more...because you were told you couldn't have it?

I once gave a reading to a woman who wanted to leave her husband. The message I got for her was that she should leave him and she would be happier.

Interestingly enough, when she was given 'permission' and 'confirmation' to do so, she realized just how much she loved him and they improved their relationship together.

I don't feel bad that my advice was wrong, every once in a while it happens. I am just the vessel for the information to come through.

The woman ended up being happy and all she needed was a push, to feel that she had the freedom of choice and she was no longer miserable with her husband.

I have recieved communication from the Divine, telling me to hold out for this guy who had broken my heart (severely). The Goddess told me that he would return to me the following Spring.

Well, that message certainly got me through the Winter...I also didn't go into a deep depression...that was where I was headed before I got the message and by the time I figured out that he wasn't coming back to me, my heart had healed enough to accept it and move on with my life.

So...I say all that to say that everything is not simply black and white. Sometimes what we need to hear, is not necessarily the truth. ;)
