If you bought a HD DVD instead of Blue Ray are you now just SOL?

I bought neither but I was leaning toward the HD DVD because I have the X360. Now that "they" decided to drop that format what do people do who dumped hundreds in to a new HD DVD player and even worse now they can't get any new movies. That really craps.

Nothing they can do.  They are stuck with a dead format.  That's the problem with not waiting to see who wins out.  You take chances and sometimes you lose out.

Same thing happened to all those people that bought Beta instead of VHS in the great tape wars of the 80's.
