If you buy a TV out of a catalogue???

and it breaks down after six month who's responsibility is it the manufacturers or the catalogue to repair????

  1. depends on if there was a warranty offered by the catalog or not.  Otherwise it is probably the manufacturer's. However they may have a limited waranty too....you should check the catalog and read the fine print.


  2. Manufacturer. Catalogues are the same as retail stores generally. Usually a 60 day guarantee.

    Here is what to do:

    Check what model you have either by looking at the Owners' Manual or a placard on the sides or back of the television. Include the Serial Number.

    Go to manufacturer website and look for warranty information . If they have listings for local repair then perhaps scheduling a repairman to come fix it may do the job. Easier that way than lugging a large tv around risking further damage.
