if you have verizon they should be able to activate the new phone at no cost regardless of whether your eligible for a new phone with them or not....

that's how all the other carriers work at least, u should just call them and ask

yes you can. sometimes they make you pay 20 dollars but it you already have the phone then i dont think they will.
