  1. IF you have a policy with a newly-aquired vehicle clause, you have whatever time is in the clause.  If you have no existing  insurance policy, obviously you have no time to buy insurance, you need it before you move the vehicle an inch.  Think about it, you pick up the vehicle, drive out of the driveway and hit a cement truck, your fault, without insurance, you are toast.

And if you have an existing policy, you do have to read it, there is no hard and fast rule.  If I trade my car in, I am covered for 7 days before I have to actually transfer coverage, but only if it is another car.  If I trade on a pick-up truck, which is a different class, I have no leeway, I have to transfer immediately, before I drive.

  2. Here in NYS, you need insurance the hour you drive it home.

So you figure it is the same for your state.  You may have some time to transfer the title and registrations but insurance you need on the spot.

    Good Luck...

  3. I have met this kind of situation before, here is the place I found useful.http://carinsurance.expertsupport.info/a...

  4. For car insurance the most efficient way to get a very good quote is do a policy comparison on auto policies. Make certain that you choose similar policies with the same limits, car model, zip code, etc so that all options are an accurate comparison.

What I always recommend is an online comparison quote at http://www.InsureAutoNow.info since they have top name insurers and will give many quotes on car insurance polices.

  5. 30 days

In missouri you have 30 days to pay your taxes - and when you go in to pay your taxes you must have proof of insurance - so - 30 days.

  6. You can only be sure by talking to your agent or reviewing your policy.  Usually, if you have a policy for a car, you have thirty days.  If you did not previously have a car and insurance, you are uninsured.

  7. Try this one - http://autoinsurance.bebto.com - I personally have their car insurance, cause it is the cheapest for my family in our area.

    They can provide it immediatly.

  8. Immediately. There is no 30 day or any other grace period.
