  1. You turn in the NY title when you register the car in NJ.

    It'll take longer for the NJ DMV to get your new NJ title issued to you .. probably 2 - 3 months.


  2. Do you live in NJ? The tile is kept. You will get a new tile from the state of NJ. This is so they can chage you taxs on your car. And you not paying taxs to NY.
