Well, if I could find a house for £180K I would be so surprised I wouldn't care about the stamp duty......

Anyone who is selling a house for 180K will now have to drop it to 175K, so there will be none on the market for that price by next week! There has to be a cut off point somewhere, so it is good that it has been raised.

tell them to drop the price to £175000 and you will give them £5000 in cash if they leave the bedroom curtains.
