  1. I don't know who, but you should report it.  I believe that has to be disclosed.


  2. If you bought it from a dealer, you should discuss this with the salesperson. If you bought it from a private party, there's not much you can do because you bought the car used and "as is". i bought a VW that was salvaged and it works great. Go to carfax.com to get a vehicle history if you have any worries.

  3. Hello Dks answer is correct, traders must state if it has been written off, private sellers do not. It should state on the v5 log book if it was a write off. Get in touch with the previous owners to find out how bad the damage was, as some 'private' owners are traders but do not declare it, which is illegal anyway and you then have consumer rights and they get a cumuppance.

  4. The question i have to ask back to you is-  the vehicle no longer has a salvage title, or did you not read the title when you bought it.  You can get a regular title on a salvage vehicle- but it takes a pretty complete inspection from dept of motor vehicle.  Otherwise the title you recieved with the car should still say salvage on it.
