If its faulty then yes you can return it.

You can return if it is faulty.

If it was bought by distance selling (catalog, phone or internet) you have a short period to return products if you change your mind. The seller can state what this period is as long as he tells you, or you had a reasonable chance to read it before you placed your order. 14 days is the default.

Generally you have no rights to return goods simply because you changed your mind, other than as noted above.

if it doesn't work after that then the provider should help you.  This happened to me and after a lot of phone calls i took it to the network provider shop, ornage/O2/vodafone/3, whoever is your provider, and the tried sorting it for me.  They were more than helpful, it's their job to help you! Make sure you have insurance covering it though to be on the safe side!
