i read from the website that the seller is not responsible for the item so if he or she wants can or not sell it to you.

  1. No. If the reserve is not met, then you did not win the auction. The reserve is the lowest amount the seller will take. Although, it's possible they could offer you a second-chance.

  2. They aren't required to sell it to you at your bid if you didn't meet the reserve price.  They can if they want to, but probably won't unless your bid is very close to their reserve.

  3. The reserve is the lowest price that the customer will except.

  4. The reserve is the lowest amount the seller will accept for the item.  No, if your bid does not meet the reserve you will not get the item.

  5. No. If the reserve that the seller makes is not meet by the buyer they do not have to sell it to you.

Lets say I list my digital camera with a reserve. (of $100) but the bids do not go up to/over the $100 I do not have to sell item because it is not at a price I am willing to sell it at.

Usually when a seller puts up an item with a reserve usually I ask before bidding. I write them in a message asking what the reserve is set at. Because you will never know the reserve price unless the seller actually tells you.

You can also ask if they will accept a best offer.

    So hope this helps.
