If you call a cell phone out of state that has the same area code as you, what location shows up on the bill?

  1. your area code will. like when my brother comes to visit he has a WA phone and even though he's in our state it's a WA number.. for the person you are calling if they are on vacation they better make sure that they are not roaming when you call. they could have to pay roaming.. most carriers have national plans now.. The phone number is what decides that.. you get your phone in your home area because it's a local number to you. I hope this helps. If you live in CA and you travel to lets say NY  it's still a CA number and as long as you are in your home calling area and not roaming you are fine also
