If you somehow came into a ocean going sailboat, and a crew to help you sail her, where would you go?

1. Toodle around the bay, and try not to sink her too fast?

2. Sail to the Caribbean to see if you could meet Jack Sparrow?

3. Go across one of the major oceans to really explore a whole new place?

4. Somewhere unusual, do tell where?

  1. Circumnavigation.

Detroit - St. Lawrence Seaway - Bermuda - Caribbean - Panama Canal - Galapagos - Marquesas - French Polynesia - Tonga - Fiji - Australia - Cocos/Keeling Islands - South Africa - Brazil - Caribbean - Intracostal Waterway - Bay of Fundy - St. Lawrence Seaway - Detroit.

    Then do it again.

  2. Down the East coast of The Americas around Cape Horn and up the west coast of the Americas and see if I can make the Northern passage from Alaska to GreenLand then I would cross to Ireland and Europe and drop into the Mediteranian for some exploring of Ancient Civilizations and superb food.

  3. sail around the world doing all the big races so sydney-hobart, fastnet, cowes week etc.

  4. I did come across a 30-50 ft sail boat! and then I did 1. 2. 3. 4.! in that order. I started about 15 years ago.The unusual place was the Solomons. Unfortunately the engine broke and I had to sail 2000 nm to a place that I thought I would be able to find work, save the money and fix it.  2 years later I am still trying to escape. It wont be long now....
