And if at some point you drown is that tragic or just predictable and therefore avoidable?

  1. There is no reason not to be on the water, assuming you are prepared.

If you ar in a canoe, kayak, or other boat, it would be wise to have on a personal floatation device.  If you are water skiing, or otherwise being towed by a boat, there are ski vests that should be worn even if you do swim.

Just as a note, I am a poor swimmer at best, and have been boating a lot.  Consider being off shore hundreds of miles from land, no other boats around and fall overboard, you will not be able to swim to safety.  In such case, it is imperative that you wear a PFD.  My PFD also serves as a safety harness, and I clip on when off shore.

  2. LOOK JUST CUZ U CANT SWIM DAT DOESNT MEAN YOU SHOULDNT BE IN DA WATER JUSS BE SMART AN DONT GO 2 DEEP

  3. hmm good question...i am not to good of a swimmer but i kayak :D

  4. Probably.  Good thinking!  :]

  5. No, unless you are learning how to swim and someones there,  you should back away from the water.  Go build a sandcastle.  And if at some point they drown because they wouldn't just go play in the sand, it would be tragic, but predictable/self enhanced.  Even though a lifeguard should be there to save them and then tell them to stick to the sand castles.
