  1. A while back I answered a similar question with Buddy Franklin to Geelong.

I don't think so now. The spread of goals to 10 or more players each week, not depending on one guy (Gaz Sr.) most of the time is working just fine.

Buddy must of had Peter Sumich for a kicking coach in his youth, but not according to either Franklin or Sumich profiles I read.

Buddy is a spray kicker just like Sumich.

Who do I want at Geelong, a young Danny Frawley or Mickie Martyn to help tutor Harry Taylor in defense. Taylor is becoming a liability with Matty Egan out since last year's finals.

  2. Jimmy Bartel - for the obvious reasons that hes a brownlow medalist and Cats superstar player!!  Oh and hes easy on the eye ;)

  3. Maybe Cooney, only because the Hawks need another tall defender.

smashitup, I never said i wanted a tall forward the Hawks have Buddy and Roughead , Cooney is a good player with lots of potential and i think he could play down back with Croad and Brown, young talented players can change positions during their career. Croad started forward for the Hawks and now plays down back as our number 1 defender.

  4. Matthew Pavlich! who knows how good this guy could be if he played for a real team

  5. Jonathan Brown - because he has proved himself for several consecutive years, playing in the difficult position of CHF & also having the responsibility of being captain.

  6. Jon Brown to add bite to our forward line.

  7. Any tall KPP would be great. Defender or forward, I think we're fine in the midfield and ruck with Cooney, Cross, Boyd, Gia, Hudson, Minson etc and Ward, Cordy (hopefully) and Harbrow coming through.

We have 13 players who have kicked 12 goals or more this season, so it's a pretty good spread of goal kickers, but we could do with a big forward (Brown, Pavlich)

I think I would take a key defender ahead of a forward though. Morris and Lake are great, but there is not much support around them. Williams has shown he can play on the big forwards, but he can't be relied on because of his unfortunate run of injuries. Everitt hopefully one day could become a good defender, but he isn't there yet.

In short I'd probably take Scarlett. :)

PS andy, why would you take Cooney if you need a tall forward :S

EDIT - yeah, I meant defender, but still if you wanted a tall defender why take Cooney, there are plenty of other options out there who are a) better defenders and b) taller like Dale Morris. Cooney's defensive side isn't very good (played on Judd, got toweled up, same with J McVeigh) it just puzzles me.

  8. BUDDY he is due to come home, isn't he!

I don't think that buddy needs explaining or a reason.

  9. Pavlich, to come to adelaide. because we need a big forward, and he wouldnt leave us, coz hes an adelaide boy

  10. I like Gary Ablett Junior.  When the Swans played their first game against Geelong on their home turf well he just about singlehandedly won the game in that last quarter.  He was brilliant and whenever I see him play he is usually outstanding and so quick and the Swans need speed in their team.    Wouldn't mind Ling, Chapman and Scarlett while I am at it.

Oh forgot to mention:   Love Fevola and his skills.  Better than Barry Hall who has let our team down on occasions!!!

  11. Dean Cox to the Bombers and then we can send Laycock packing!!

  12. Jonathan Brown.

Hulking forward who has a presence on the field similar to Judd. Fevola needs the help down there and he'd be ideal.

Edit. Ignore Zerdali or whatever his name is. He's the Yahoo answers equivalent of a telemarketer.

  13. Scarlett would be great at the Hawks. We already have a good forward line and midfield, we just need someone who can help croad out by playing on a good opposition forward.

  14. BUDDY FRANKLIN!!!!!! Come home to WA buddy!!!!!

Oh and travis cloake (DROOL!) he marks the ball so well!

    ANd tom harley (geelong)

i could go on for ages!

  15. Ben Cousins

Because we need a bit more controversy over here in boring little Adelaide ;)))

  16. Gary Ablett, He is good in the Cats and would do even better as a Hawk.

  17. Jonathon Brown please - would be nice if WC had a consistant goal kicker.

  18. Andrew Mackie- awesome defender when he is in form, when hes not hes still awesome!

  19. Buddy, because any team with him in it is bound to do well!

  20. Adam Cooney great player who has just started to show what he is capable of and he would fit in nice with West Coast .

  21. Lance Franklin to the eagles cause then we would have a good foward
