  1. Descartes would agree that you do.  However, the existentialists, e.g., Heidegger and Sartre, who have questioned the conclusions of Descartes, see existence (ontology) as tied not to the Cartesian "cogito ergo sum" ("I think, therefore I am") but rather to man's being in the world and his interacting with other beings.

However, I will give you this; there is a good chance that if you can't doubt, you may not exist - lol.

  2. technically speaking it is when NO one, including yourself,  believes you exist that you don't. "Doubt" on the other hand means you have something to doubt . . . . not the same thing.

  3. Its a doubt.....

  4. im far to wasted to think about stuff like this..im gonna go watch cartoons...

  5. I think, therefore I am.

  6. Yeah... hello reality.

  7. Since I can never be certain, I have chosen to believe in my own existence until such time as it is disproven to me.  Of course, I first have to believe in the proof.

I'm pretty sure my continued existence is guaranteed by this system!

  8. Hmmm, seems like that's like pinching yourself to see if you're dreaming.

  9. i don't think that would be a question.

because if you look at yourself at the mirror, what do you see ?

also who are the people talking to ?

who are you dressing each time you want to look good ?

who is the one who is hungry ?

who is the one who loves to feel new things with other people, and same with the other person.

  10. well we know the mind exists as it is the most evidently existing thing, if we don't consider it to exist then the word existence means nothing. In fact existence is based on what we think ultimately. Does it exist if it's palpable? If it is an illusion and the mind doesn't regard it as so, does it exist?

  11. no comment .......... this question is ............really stupid

  12. WHAT???

  13. Descartes walks into a bar. The bartender says "Beer?" Descartes says "I think not" and disappears.

    (and yes, you do)

  14. Yes, because you're doubting.  Doubt is a form of thinking which is impossible without life.

  15. If you have a concious and are at least aware of things, than I believe you do exist.
