  1. In Toronto the line is .................

If you can't go to a University, you can go to York .

    Jim B.  U of T class of 78.

  2. flip who would hire ,you you cant spell

    HIRE  not higher

  3. Its pretty funny that the above poster wrote she would not want to "higher" a Brock grad. She must not have attended elementary school, let alone college. No, it is not true. Brock University is a very competitive school. I know many people with better than 75 percentile grades that did not get in. Check their ratings against other North American Uni's. They rank well.

  4. Although I still love to tease my friends with this (I live about 5 minutes from the school myself). It has imporved greatly. It is far from a breeze in any program.  The arts programs have always been there foucs and that's why there other programs lacked so much in the past.  But it is much better now.  Their business program is one of the best in Ontario (and by that I mean top 10 which isn't too bad really)  My friend, who was always a 90%+ student just graduated political science with a 75% average, and we never saw her because she was ALWAYS doing work.  Now she's doing her Masters there.  Another friend just graduate linguistics and had people begging her to come work for them.  She didn't have to hand out a single resume.

ANYWAYS, my point is that it is one of those things that will always stick and always be a running joke, but the school has a great reputation in academics now and the faculty and students have worked hard to get that reputation, they won't let it go easily.

(No, I don't go to Brock and yes, I say that line all the time. lol)

  5. doesn't speak very highly for the degrees they hand out then does it.  I sure wouldn't want to higher a Brock Graduate!!!

Edit....lol   I didn't say Brock was a bad university the question asker did, with her question...lol

and as far as my spelling goes...thats why as an employer of many people I need to "hire" admin people with a degree from a reputable university, you know what they say you don't need to be an A student to run a successful company, you just need to hire good people!!
