  1. Make sure you have some sweats, glove and a softball in the same location.

  2. you won't be arrested for having it in your car, but walking down the street in a threatening manner may draw unwanted attention from the law.

  3. Most state law says that a Deadly weapon is anything that is designed for lethal use, baseball bats included.

  4. No, you can carry a pocket knife too if you want. A bat wont be considered a weapon unless you use it as one.

In florida you can carry a gun in your car with out any license or anything. Its a great law.

  5. Only if you hit the person that asked. In Canada, if anything is within arms reach that can be used as a weapon, is considered one.

  6. nah just say you were at a batting cage?

    right?

  7. my boyfriend and I each carry a bat in our cars.. we dont live in the best of neighborhoods so its imperitive to carry something... The only thing is is that we also have a catchers mitt and a softball/baseball... :)

As long as you have something to go along with it.. its all good!

  8. mostly likely unless you play sports, but id hate to see you attempt to pull that out and try use it. tire iron would be what i recommend. they are not too big fairly light and is a tool rather than a weapon so you wont catch any heat from it being present in your car.

  9. if you are talking to the police...they would consider it a weapon, if you are asked if you have a weapon in your car.

Otherwise, it depends how you use the bat.

  10. Put batting gloves and a few baseballs in with it and no one can prove "intent".

But, if you ever have use it, be certain you can prove "self-defense".

  11. Technically, no.

But, anything is a weapon in the right context.

If you have a bunch of baseball gear in your trunk, including a few bat, then no.

If you keep it under your driver's seat, or on your passenger seat, maybe.

The minute you use it for anything beyond baseball, however, it becomes classified as a weapon.

  12. Not unless in context, such as if you used it on someone and a peace officer is filling out a report. A knife would be, though, even if a kitchen knife.

  13. Your Car is a potential weapon, so is your bat.

So is the tire iron that comes with your car.

    So are you car KEYS.

    Its a conspiracy.

  14. I used to in my old car because the hydraulics for the hatch we broke so I used the bat to prop it open.  PLus if something ever went down I was prepared

  15. I guess, but bear in mind its always a good idea to keep one in the trunk of your car, just in case anything happens.

Also, a cop doesn't really have a right to make a big deal out of it unless its accompanied by other blunt objects. For all he knows, you could be on the high school baseball team.

  16. A baseball bat could be used as a weapon given the right circumstances.  But chances are, you won't be using it for defense of a car.  No swinging room.  Of course, if you took said bat and used it to smash up something in a fit of rage, then yeah...its definitely become a weapon.  But if you're simply talking about riding around town with a bat in the back seat, so you like baseball and you never took the gear out of the car.  So what.  It's not a weapon unless you make it one.

Is an umbrella a weapon?  How about a cane?  They all could be, but by their simple nature...no.

  17. I used to have some mice, but never a bat
