  1. Yes its in the same catagory. Seek medical attention to confirm that your have this disorder.

  2. It's one way bulimia can manifest! I suggest you stop doing that s*** or you will regret it later trust me. I'm a recovering bulimic and I have permanent damage to my body from the bulls*** I pulled in the name of weight loss & American society. I have permanent intestinal problems, I developed hypoglycemia, anytime I eat something fatty (pizza, fried chicken) I am on the ground crying in pain because my body has a hard time digesting it (I wasn't that way before the bulimia). My hair is extremely brittle still, and during my bout of bulimia I for some reason started growing really fine black hairs all over my body (doctor said its common in starvation). Not to mention all the weight I lost by not eating....I gained back twice as much when I started eating normally again regardless of my exercise routine. Not only that I was also taking diuretics which sucked my potassium levels down to nearly nothing and I went into cardiac arrest. It's not a joke STOP IT! By the way I love my chubby lil self now! :)

  3. Bulimia is you purging the food that you have consumed..

I'd just consider this pointless and a waste of food is all.

  4. No I dont think so, unless that's a way of trying to lose weight? Like, you chew it for the flavor?? That's interesting..but no. Bulimia is when you throw up the food while it's in the stomach. It might be baby or mental bulimia hehe

  5. unhealthyy. just EAT IT

  6. No, that's still anorexia.

  7. Why would you want to do that? Eat your food, or you'll die. Easy, isn't it.

  8. It is an eating disorder, yes.  I used to do that.  It's not healthy!!

  9. Yes, this is one way that Bulimia Nervosa can manifest. Sad news is that the digestion process has already started as soon as you put food in your mouth you have begun to absorb calories.

You need to go see a doctor if this is a big problem for you, or your friend. Bulimia can have long lasting effects on your body, your bones will become brittle, your hair can fall out, you can botch up your sodium levels which can have a long term effect on your brain functioning and repoductive system.

    Hope this helped.

  10. Call it what you wish, but you will receive all of the succulent flavours (depending on what you are chewing) by doing this but none of the nutrients.

  11. That might well go under the heading of "Disordered Eating" but you'd need a full psychological evaluation to see what is going on.

Spitting food out instead of swallowing is common in infants, could possibly be regressive behavior in a pre-pubescent child, could be a symptom of food phobia or some sort of throat obstruction... is the person doing this in front of others or hiding the behavior?

There are many factors which need to be taken into account before an eating disorder is diagnosed, and this is one isolated symptom.

My advice would be to consult a GP in the first instance.
