  1. Yes, email them, call their offices--in DC, or locally back in the states that they are supposed to represent.

The three things that members of congress value are votes, power, and money. Let them know that you are a registered voter with lots of friends. Say that you have friends who are willing to donate to their next campaigns or help them raise money--now you've got their attention.

Then, you can express your opinion.

  2. Hey, your from the bay area, perhaps you could link up with peolisi at the next pride parade, I hear she like to appear in those.

  3. They will answer your letter with a form letter to keep you voting for them. But they will ignore what you say and do what they want or what they are being bribed to do.

  5. no, they wont silence you, but first try making a donation to their campaign.....befriend them first!! then they may actually listen to you, otherwise y should they care?

  6. You might be interested in myverdict.net. It's goal is to find the majority opinion on every issue, in every community, so we can demand that our representatives support that majority opinion or lose their seat.

  7. I don't think that any indivisual's opinion can make any difference or they can even give importance to. the difference can be made through voting power only.

  8. 1) It may make a small difference.  They say that every letter to Congress is considered to represent the opinion of 7 American people.  If they get enough letters, they will listen.

    2) No, they will not silence you, unless you say something threatening, like that you want to overthrow the government, or kill someone in office, or other illegal things.  NEVER WRITE THINGS LIKE THAT!!!
