  1. Yes, but the only downside of that is that it would be a lot of trouble to fix it. To fix it, you need a person trained in working with hybrids. It's more dangerous than you think. The voltage these cars carry is a lot. So probably it would cost a lot more to fix. But toyotas don't break down that much, so you wouldn't have much to worry about.

  2. Yes I want the tahoe

  3. yep

    sho would

although what i really want is a car that runs on veggie

i wouldnt mind having a vw and converting it

    that would b groovy

    =)

  4. I would pass.

I have a car, that gets (50)MPG  without the battery pack and extra electrical goodies. never needs a tune-up (no spark plugs) and doesnt have an o2 sensor. The engine will last more than 500,000 miles too!

  5. Hybrids are a huge waste of money and technology.

You can buy diesel vw golf for about 7 grand less than a prius and you realistically get 65 MPG. (onlyin europe)

What I want to do when I graduate from college is buy an f-350 turbo diesel 4x4.  Then set it up to run off wvo(waste vegetable oil).  Mygas expense=$0 you can get the oil for free from any restauraunt.  And I don't look like an idiot driving 55 mpg on the highway trying to save gas. As I cruise by at 90 mph , with less than a 10th of the carbon emmision of your ugly prius.

  6. I think hybrid technology is an excellent means of recapturing energy that would otherwise be wasted through friction braking, and allow cars to idle without an engine running.

Those guys who think diesels are the end-all-be-all of fuel efficiency don't realize that diesels CAN and WILL be combined with hybrid technology to make them even better.

Witness next year Mercedes Benz will be coming out with Bluetec Diesel Hybrids, like this S300:  http://www.autobloggreen.com/2007/09/07/...

Personally I don't understand why those diesel guys have all that hate against hybrid technology, considering that it can benefit diesels too.

As far as I'm concerned, gasoline hybrids is a practical choice for many.  Frankly, not all of us have the time or inclination to go around and collect used frying grease from restaurants, nor do many of us want to pay an extra 80 cents per gallon for diesel fuel from a gas station.

  7. im thinking about getting a hybrid car my truck gets only 13 mpg

  8. of course..
