If you could ask Jesus Christ a few questions about ethical dilemmas we face today, what would you ask?

Suppose you were sitting down with Jesus and could ask him any questions you like. And he would respond in the clearest terms. What questions would you ask?

I would ask:

Is abortion ever okay? If so, under what circumstances?

How do you feel about the death penalty? Should our court system and government execute people? Yes or no?

Does Satan really influence people? Or is evil the result of something else?

What time of economic system should we have in our society? Socialism, unrestrained capitalism? Communism?

Is euthanasia okay?

What would you ask Jesus?

  1.   I would ask him how it feels to have a religion formed in his name on the false assumption that he was God, and how much longer will we have to put up with it before christians learn the truth.  .Many(former christians) have already learned  by reading the Conversations with God books by Neale Donald Walsch, but not nearly enough of them...God bless

  2. 1.    Do I look fat in these pants?

    2.    High heels or flats?

    3.    Mini or maxi?

    4.    Red hair or short hair?

    5.    Maxi Pads or tampons?

    6.    Anti-perspirant or roll on?

    7.    Low calories or high carbs?

    9.    Rye or white?

    10.  Mustard or mayo?

Ah, so many questions, so little time...

  3. 1 - Do you think it's moral for a father to allow his own son to be murdered? (No, I don't care if you take it personally; Answer the question!)

2 - What do you think of Paul's subversion of your message?

  4. "Jesus, buddy,  Hey, why did you find it necessary to Curse the United States with not one, but TWO terms of GEORGE DUB YA BUSH?  I mean, come on, haven't you ever heard of cruel and Unusual punishment?  Well, of course you have, what with the Crucifixion and all."

  5. Why is your Dad such an egotistical jerk, and really, why would an omnipotent, omnipresent being need puny humans to worship him to the exclusion of all else?

Oh, and maybe, "What's your dad have against shrimp, ham and cheeseburgers?"

Can you REALLY expect us to believe that slavery is perfectly acceptable behavior by Christians like it says in the Bible, but two men who love each other are abominations that should burn in h**l???

Pretty f-ing pathetic, if you ask me.

  6. That was a good question, and same time, you covered

    what most would ask,

I would add, How did you ever manage to willingly

go to the cross, for a bunch of dirtbags, who clearly

did not deserve your grace, including me????

  7. I'd ask Jesus why can't you do this or that to my life to make it better.

  8. Nothing.  My questions are answered in His word, the bible.  When I see Jesus, I won't be asking questions.  I'll be praising Him.

  9. i would ask Him what televangelists He likes if any

  10. I'd ask: "Since I would starve without food, should I praise my grocer every day?"

  11. An excellent question!  I should give you a star!

How does one ask an immortal being, not living in linear time or bound by linear thought any sort of question and expect a pat answer?

The problem isn't abortion.  The problem is a society that has created unwanted children (through carelessness, violence, whatever).

The problem isn't euthanasia.  It's a fallen world that causes our bodies to deteriorate.

It isn't commies or money-grubbing capitalists, it's a society bent on money, power or influence.

I don't think God can really give answers for these because they are situations that shouldn't have happened in the first place.  Everything we see down here is a solution cobbled together by fallen (usually well-meaning) people for situations in a fallen world.

Any solutions in place  down here are mere band-aids.  Even Christianity is sloppily practiced.  Had things gone right, the situations about which you want answers wouldn't have surfaced.

  12. Why is the bible contradictory?

Which part of your message is still the same and hasn't been twisted to suit the purposes of the church?

Why haven't you intervened with all the evil being done in your name?

  13. When He was coming back.

    Add

But if I was sitting talking to Him, He would be back, so all the wrong in the world would have ended.

  14. "Could you clear up and correct this book made by your followers so it's precise and couldn't be used against anybody?"

  15. 1.Where is the most evidence of your existence and divinity? (edit: didn't read the "ethical dilemmas" part, oops.)

2.that's all?   I'm sorry, I had to. Just kidding.

Thats all I can think of now.

  16. He probably will tell me  - quoting His own words written 2008 years ago - How do you read? Because all those things you mentioned are already taken care of. Every principle mentioned under those premises you wrote has been clarified and delineated.

Paul the Apostle - writing a letter to the brothers, involved in sour disputes about money - tells them "you are going to judge the world, and yet you cannot make judgment about your differences" (I'm just paraphrasing, here) - which proves that when those Judges seating in Revelation in front of the Throne, judge the humanity in front of them, they will do that having these principles in mind. If you do not what Jesus will tell you, you do not what way to go, and then when this happens, we are lost. That is the other reason why He said: "I am the Way, The truth and The Life". You have to know The Way.

  17. I can imagine the conversation you would have with Him...

    You:

Is abortion ever okay? If so, under what circumstances?

    Jesus:

(a look of shock crosses His face at the question) Don't you realize that every one of these little ones is precious to Me? Why do you ask Me if it is ever okay to murder one of My babies?

    You:

How do you feel about the death penalty? Should our court system and government execute people? Yes or no?

    Jesus:

It is not in My Father's will that anyone should perish...and yet, there are those who will not listen. Should your governors, then, allow such to run amok among the innocent, slaughtering whom they will? Did not My apostle tell you that he does not bear the sword in vain? But if you do what is right, you have nothing to fear.

    You:

Does Satan really influence people? Or is evil the result of something else?

    Jesus:

Satan may only have power over you if you give it to him. Have you not read the scripture? Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

    You:

What time of economic system should we have in our society? Socialism, unrestrained capitalism? Communism?

    Jesus:

Can a rich man go through a narrow gate if he is laden with possessions? Why do you strain yourself to worry about an "economic system"?? Do you not trust in the simple provisions your Father has made for you? But this is why so many of My children die of hunger and disease...because you concern yourself with these things, but not with the plight of others. Don't you realize that these material things mean nothing?

    You:

    Is euthanasia okay?

    Jesus:

It is not for any man to say when life begins, or when it ends. These decisions belong to your Father in Heaven.

    Jesus:

If you had read the scriptures with an open and understanding heart, you would not be asking Me these questions. Yet men look to Me to justify themselves, knowing the evil in their own hearts. The time is coming (and now is) when God will judge each man and each woman according to what is in their hearts. Therefore, come unto Me, while there is yet time, and let Me help you to cleanse your heart of these thoughts, that you might appear before your Father with clean hands and a clean heart...

    Behold, I am coming quickly.

    Are you ready?

    What would I ask Jesus?

    I honestly have no idea.

Perhaps I would plead with Him not to delay His return, as so many people are suffering, and the world needs Him more than ever....but then, I would have to realize that He must wait till every last child that will come to Him has made it Home. Better we should wait, than to leave even one child behind...

  18. He already told us, judge not lest ye be judged..It does not matter what we perceive to be evil. There is no one on this planet who has not sinned.

We are to mind His words. And follow Him just like He said.

No one hears the gospel now a days because most of the Christians are off and busy picketing everything that does not conform to their idea of what is *good*..

  19. I hope that I would ask Him what could I do to serve Him. If He is available like that, I would expect that the reason is already clear to Him. It's not my life that is important, I was long ago ready to lose it for Him.

As far as ethical things . . . I guess I am already pretty clear on those things. I wouldn't have to ask them. And what I am saying that I am clear about might shock some Christians. But I do think that some of your examples don't make a whole lot of difference, in my opinion.

  20. I think you covered them all.

He'd probably say, "sorry, I cannot tell you.  that is the whole reason I put you here. to learn for yourself."

  21. Some hillbilly from 2000 years ago who thought illness was caused by demons. I'd ask him nothing.
