If you could be principal of your school for one week, what rules would you change?

I was principal of my school and I did change the rules.  I changed all suspensions to in-school suspensions rather than home suspensions, and those suspended spent the day with me.  I permitted gum chewing as long as no one ever saw the gum,  or saw any gum stuck to chairs, desks, floors, etc. - and that worked very well.  I also encouraged students to keep a bottle of water at their desks.

Umm  the dress code.  I wish we could wear shorts that come 4 inches above our knees instead of 2 inches above knee rule.  

And i would have a couple resturants cater lunch everyday :) :) :)

1. No opening of books within school hours

2. School starts at 12:00pm and ends at 3:00pm

3. No Homework

Punishment would be meted out to the individual, rather than the group. Therefore, the seniors are not punished because sophomores are breaking the dress code.
