Please do NOT include atrocities - this question deals with only military, technical, or economic changes. I know that atrocities played a part in these events but please choose something else - i am sick of reading about atrocities - there are more then enough questions / answers to deal with that.

  1. Oh my goodness. My professor gave us this very same question in World Civilization 102. I never wrote so much in my life for a course.

I hope you find what you're looking for because there were more atrocities in WW ll then anything else.

Is this for a Midterm or Final exam by any chance??

  2. How about Switzerland?  They remained neutral and made lots of money.

How about Spain?  After all the help that Hitler gave Franco, Franco insisted on staying out of the war.

  3. De Gaulle.

The reason is that if I were any of the other leaders I would co ck something up and lose the war.  All De Gaulle had to do was radio instructions to his operatives in occupied France, and then he got the job of liberating Paris - after the city had already been abandoned by the Germans.  And he talked the others into giving France a slice of Germany after the war - how's that for chutzpah!

  4. I would be the leader of Germany. I would avoid the WWII.
