  1. Richard the second... much under rated.

  2. Well, I would never want to" bring them back from the dead" that is just wrong. But I think that King Harold the 2nd is awesome. Too bad he only had a pathetic 1 year reign. He was a fair ruler and a brave and wise King. (1065- 1066) He died at a stray arrow  which pierced his eyes at the Battle of Hastings. His housecarls( like knights) stayed with him to the very end. After his death, William the 1st( The Conqueror) the Norman, took a firm grip upon England. He furthered and established the serf system.

LOL, I like what the guy above me said about Richard the 3rd.

  3. Elizabeth 1st she did more for this country than any monarch in my opinion. She was completely selfless and passionate about England, which is so important!

  4. Neither.I'd bring back Owain Glyndwr.

  5. "Mary, Queen of Scots"

Under the ordinary laws of succession, Mary was next in line to the English throne after her cousin, Queen Elizabeth I, who was childless.

  6. I don,t want any royals

  7. i wouldnt choose a monarch i would choose the druids before them

  8. Charles II should be King again, that way you could cut his head off and declare a Republic.

  9. Queen Elizabeth the first. She held the crown on her own with a man to help her .She was amazing awsome.England would have gone under without her.She won the Spaunsh Armada!

  10. Me too, Queen Elizabeth I because she grew up with her mother Anna Boelyn beheaded... she had a hard life.. her elder sister Mary was Queen before her and Elizabeth had to fear for her life because Mary could not have children so they knew if she stayed alive she would be the new Queen as the brother by Jane Seymore died young..Also she managed to be a good queen and that without a Prince at her side... she made a lot of decisions on her own so she was a modern woman for those times...and a brave one..

  11. Complete Re-EDIT - I misread your Q

Probably - Henry II - He acquired the most real estate of his time, only to be thrown away by John Lackland.

It reminds me of all the U.S. run property that we give or sell to China.

    .

  12. bring em all back and put em to the wall and shoot the worthless inbred parasites!!!!!!!!!

  13. I'll give you a big hint:  She'd wear a farthingale and a ruff, and she'd have red hair.

  14. Queen Victoria! the Victorian era was Britains strongest, greatest era.

The most powerful empire on the planet!

she wouldnt have had any of this nanny state rubbish, immigrants would be thrown out mercilessly, the cane would be back so unruley chav disrespectful kids would learn manners, and get an education and the a job instead of crime and violence. we would have better equiped armed forces, which would be stronger.

she was magnificent. she also helped inventors alot, part of the reason we invented so many things as a nation in that period. (inventions under her reign include the telegraph, telephone, pre-paid postage, the toilet, bicycles, massive railway expansion, the light bulb (jointly with an american)....

our longest serving monach, serving from just 18yrs old!

In 1876 she was crowned Empress of India when we had had that under our belt. (until 1947 i believe when we pullled out leaving it in a mess).

    Make Britain Great again!

  15. Any before the Germans came. Battenburg was it?

  16. King Arthur.

  17. Richard lll he would soon sort the muslim terroists out ;-)

  18. not sure if this counts, but princess dina because she was a beautiful young woman who was killed off in her pride, she deserved to be queen and i would have loved to see her up there.

  19. definatly victoria because she was a magnificent powerful lady. our country was at its best back then because of her. and the structures and statues from her reign are really beautiful, espeselly in london!

  20. Henry VIII

Just to see how fat he really was and how he would react to Prince Charles marrying a divorcee and there being no outcry!

  21. Well I'm American, but i would love to see King George III be back in power...he was a magnificent man with many great ideas who was in a hard spot during his reign (which eventually turned him mad)

  22. queen victoria... someone not affraid to make an empire, without forgetting our contry.

  23. Hi

To my frame of mind, King George the Sixth. Inherited the throne upon the abdication  Edward the viii.

He was never trained to be a King, He stammered and stuttered

when addressing the nation. He married Elisabeth Bowes Lyons. They had two children. Elisabeth and Margaret, the former being our present Queen.

King George had an option of going to Canada, but choose to be with his subjects.  Buckingham Palace recieved a hit in a bombing by the n**i's.

As King with his stawart wife they earnt the gratitude of the Eastenders in London , as he stuck by them in their ordeal

of being blasted out of there homes.

It was with great affection the nation beheld their King and Queen in the 2nd World War.

    Pee Wee.

  24. Charles 2nd

"Here lies our sovereign lord the King

Whose word no man relies on

He never said a foolish thing

Nor ever did a wise one" - said the Earl of Rochester, when challenged to write an epitaph for Charles.

Quite true, said the King - for my words are my own but my actions are my ministers'.

Such style - instead of knocking Rochester's head off for treason, or sulking and ending the friendship, Charles had a sense of humour, and made a good point at Rochester (who was a minister)s expense.

He also refused to divorce his wife, although she was barren, and most of her dowry never materialised - and he asked her forgiveness for his adultery on his deathbed.  He looked after his illegitimate children and mistresses financially before and after he died, unlike most of his contemporaries.

Although he was within his rights by the standards of the time, to have everyone associated with his father's murder executed, he stopped after the main culprits had gone, because he said it sickened him. He let Cromwell's heir, Richard, live quietly in the country, even though he had been put in as a puppet dictator by the puritans after Cromwell died.

Charles had no great love for the Scots whose leaders betrayed him, and he would definitely run rings round Gordon Brown and his dismal crew.

Not vain about his looks either - although he was over 6 foot, Italian looking, tall and handsome.

  25. queen elizabeth 1. harri b is wrong, elizabeth was nothing more than a murdering tyrant just like her father, i would bring her back and have her tortured and beheaded, see how she likes it.

  26. Elizabeth I. She did a lot of good things and in my opinion is the best monarch that England has ever had.
