If you could change one (1) rule in Rugby league what would it be?

I've got 2...

1)The scrum..... if you look at a Rugby union game that is a real scrum....

In rugby league it is more like the players like to give each other cuddles before they feed what they call a scrum in the second row  ???

Why have it if you are not going to put any effort into it.

2) Stripping of the ball in a tackle.... the name of the game is to get the Ball, if a person that has the ball is tackled standing up you should be able to strip the ball, (more than one person/s) if the opposition does have control of the ball, if you have control of the ball it won't pop out will it !!!

Rugby League at the moment is not looking that crash hot to watch as I don't think to many people know the changes in the Rules for 2008, everyone is getting done for shepereding at the moment

Stripping rule is not good for the game...

Also to comment on the scrum, even though the scrum is a joke, it is still the only time the forwards are taken out of the defence and the backline has the chance to put on a big play. Alot of good teams have good moves that score points off a scrum...

Definitely the scrum, what a waste of time, also, this may not be a rule, but it p----s me off royally. When a scuffle/fight breaks out among opposing players, just look & see what happens. You never see players trying to pull their own men away from it, they always grab the opposing players arms leaving their own to get in that extra whammo! I would send any such player straight from the field if I had my way. If they must intervene, let it be their own team mates they pull away from the scuffle. It amazes me that this happens time & again & not one referee seems to do anything about it, Grrrrrrrrrr!

Stripping, shepparding (some good trys come from this and they disallow them when you can see the player wouldn't have got anywhere near the try scorer), and video ref.

I loved the old days it was a fast  pace game, trys awarded that weren't trys, trys disallowed that where trys, and hard hits - it seems the game and players are getting slower and boring but I will always be a NRL fan

the stripping rule annoys me sometimes. someone can have rubbish ball security and get rewarded for it when the second man in the tackle just brushes the ball they are carrying with one hand away from the body.

limit the amount of times vid ref can be used to say 2 times(1 for each team)

and get rid of the rake rule

the new 10 meter offside rule.. thats stupid how can the vid ref decide 100% the player is exactly 10 meters on/off side from a mile away even with the close ups

back in the day league used to be played with half the rules there are today, its ridiculous, you cant run around your own player its a shepard, double movement, rake the ball, its rugby league, not netball, its meant to be rough thats why we like it in comparison to union, as far as im concerned half of these rules are doing nothing but taking the heart out of the game, so to all you rule makers i say pffft to you

The scrum...It used to be a contest, where the hooker used to hook for the ball and the pack actually fought for possession. Not like today where it is just a motion of removing forwards from  play and the hooker is just a ball distribute from the play the ball..i.e dummy half.

They are a joke the scrums of  today!!

One rule isn't enough, because I can't choose between having proper scrums and being able to contest for the ball in the play the ball.
