  1. I think I would go back and stop Satan form rebelling against God because there would be no sin. Adam and Eve wouldn't have eaten the sacred fruit.

  2. The decision the Soviet Union made not to compete any longer with the US in the space program.   When we lost that competition, we pretty much lost the space program.  It's set us back at least 20 years from where we could have been.

  3. the day bombs were discovered. cause look at our world now.. every country who can afford to have it is having it,thinking that they would be ready in any war anytime because they got this nuke in their yard..creating arrogance and room for the thought of "becoming the most powerful country".small conflicts are getting huge because of this arrogance, one country won't step down thinking they will become lesser than the other...one of the global realities and trends now is "foreign denomination".. very intellectual question..

  4. The event - - June 28, 1914 when Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria, heir to the Austro-Hungarian throne, and his wife, Sophie, Duchess of Hohenberg, were shot dead.  This was the spark that ignited the First World War.  It was WWI that led to WWII.  Both wars were senseless, unnecessary tragedies.

Of course WWI may have happened anyway since there were many other contributing factors, but that one event seemed to start a chain reaction.  "What if" questions in history are usually associated with pure speculation and arguments over differing opinions can never be resolved.

  5. I wouldn't change anything. You can't, for if you change one you change all. Even things that are horrible and gruesome have lead to good. And good things have lead to bad. History is history. You cannot change it. You can only observe and learn from others mistakes.

  6. No more 9/11 terrorist attacks. Everything that has happened since may not have happened (involving our economy and the war).

  7. Althogh I like the answer regarding Arch Duke Ferdinand, many say the first world war never ended.

So there are so many answers, election of Lincoln, assination of Lincoln; Napoleons rise to power (many forget he was the 18th centurys Hitler-now romanticized, but he decimated Russia and Europe), the sacking of Rome by the Goths, their eventual ally against Attila the Hun, so many cities razed to the ground - When Rome conqued they burned.  So your question brings many things to think about.  However I still think the modern decimation of Europe is/was more tragic.  My answer:  The perfectly LEGAL ELECTION OF ADOLPH HITLER AS CHANCELLOR OF GERMANY, by the German electorate.

This led to an unparalled disaster in history, ancient, or modern.

  8. I would change 911. Like it or not this is a historical event even though it is a dark one in history. I would go back and change it then all of those 3000+ people would still be alive and we would still be a Country that has never been attacked on our own soil by an enemy.
