What shift would you like to work? Open( 4am-12pm) days (12pm-8pm) or close(8pm- 4am)? I work opens, probably the hardest shift, but I like getting out earlier, thoughts?

  1. have you talked to the company to see if you could work something like 8am til 4pm or something like that, that way you don't have to worry about crazy late nighters or to early birds when your not awake or wanting to go to sleep yet.

    hope to be of help.

  2. mornins are the Best just be careful for early mornin robbers

  3. If you want to get out earlier, work the graveyrard shift 8pm to 4am. If it were me, i would work the 12pm to 8pm shift because I can sleep in, and still get home at an hour where I can still do things in the evening. Or maybe you could ask your boss if you could get out at 11am or 10am if you don't want to work an 8 hour shift.

  4. I use to work at McDonald's from the time I was 16 until I was 19 & I perferred  mornings, but since I was in school I worked evenings during the week & opening during the weekend, either shift isn't bad & now if the location is open 24 hours, you get shift differential if you work late nights

  5. Morning shift for me!

  6. If i had to 4am-12pm.

  7. Close is by far the hardest as you have to stock and clean everything and get it ready for the next day all while making late night drive thru orders. Open you just have to prep food and make breakfast personally I work open also but mine is 7am - 3pm and day is 11 am - 7pm and close is like 4-11:30pm and over night is 11pm-7am but this is at burger king in canada Winnipeg specifically. Also the day shifts you have to go through 2 busy rushes at lunch and dinner so it gets pretty stressful. I would if I had to choose from yours go for the day shift because waking up at 4 am is really hard.

  8. I love open shifts. No cleaning up to do just settting up. the morning begins slow then speeds up and time goes by fast. Next thing you know its your lunch break and about 2 hours after that your going home and have the whole day for yourself. Plus you dont have to deal with as much traffic when going to work. Its great.

  9. 12 to 8 it is way better

  10. i think you have the best shift that's when its not fast until lunch

  11. Where I work the shifts are 5am-2, 10-7, or 2-11.

I like to work 2pm-11pm the best.  That way I have the whole morning to do whatever I want and I am not tired.  Especially if I have school work to do.

After that I like 5am-2pm.  Opens are ok, I am just really tired when I leave.

I don't like 10am-7pm it takes the whole day up!

  12. I Like the middle of the day, like many other people cause you can be more prepared I suppose.

As a mcdonalds employee I hate doing the breakfast menu which is why I'd rather the 12pm to 8pm shift.

I Like getting out earlier too sometimes, but it all depends on the time of the day and if its the weekend or not - because its horrible when you have customers queuing to the door !
