Pennicilin and sterilization,pasteurization.Louis Pasteur changed medical procedures.And his vaccines led to the later discovery of pennicilin.

I guess it would be transplants. So, many lives are saved every year because if this. My 3 month old son was saved when he needed a liver transplant.  Unfortunately, he died at 3 years, but I would never of had those 3 wonderful years  years if it wasn't for the miracle of transplants.
