  1. What feminism stands for. I find it shocking that people don't even know what they're actually advocating for when they say we want equality between men and women.

I posted a question on this and it seems that generally feminism claims to advocate equity (fair treatment of men and women) yet  keeps referring to equality (equal for the sake of being equal achieved by any means fair or not)... typo perhaps?!?!

  2. #1: FGM

#2: cheap, safe, effective birth control for all women, especially in Third World countries where women have little if any access to it

  3. I'd definitely say I wish we could unite women to be against abortion, but for funding birth control. I dont know why you can't be both.

  4. 1) Feminism

    2) women in the work place

    3) pro-choice baby killers

  5. I would unite women together for feminism. As stated by other people, feminism is no longer about just women, but men and women and social roles in society. Feminism works towards equality on both ends of the front - the opportunity for men and women to choose their own gender roles and not have anyone choose for them. It would generate different ideas about people's self worth, their capabilities, and be an aid for many people to be undefined by society.

Also I would advocate women to stand up for their rights. People need to be rightly educated about s*x. How to use a condom, how birth control works, where to find these things, dispel myths about s*x, and give people the knowledge to make their own choices when it comes to s*x. Although I believe abortion is horrible, painful emotionally and physically and wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy, I would want the choice if I happened to get pregnant from a rape or if I had gotten pregnant at fifteen. The decision of the woman is her own, but it is our responsibility to make sure she has the option to choose.

  6. Conformity

    Ambition

    Self esteem

    Body image

  7. More support for mothers. Feminists have fought for equal opportunity in the workplace, birth control etc. and now I think it's time to focus on the women who do want to have children and stay at home. It's difficult for many women to achieve a work-family balance, and often they don't have the option financially to stay at home. There are single mothers having to raise their children in poverty, even in Western society; that needs to change.

I also think there should be more information and counselling for women facing unplanned pregnancies, and emotional support provided to help them feel more empowered to choose to keep their baby. Feminists have campaigned for abortion rights, but they've done nothing to help women who want to keep their babies. We need to solve the social problems that abortion has been covering up; domestic or parental violence, poverty, lack of maternity support from employers... I could go on for hours.
