what cruise would you take. Me and my family want to do a cruise for christmas break, and we have from december 20-january 4. so the cruise can be any length, it doesnt matter, but we would really like some ideas of some of the best cruises you've been on or where you would like to go. Money isnt a problem, and there are 3 of us. [And we like balcony rooms so ships that have balcony rooms would be great! lol]

  1. ITALY/ GREECE cruise! that would be so fun!

  2. In the winter it's probably better to go on a Caribbean cruise.

If it were more like March or April I'd say go on a Mediterranean cruise.  There's much more to see.

  3. NORWEIGAN.  Go on the virgin islands one, that is 2 weeks long, and that sails during xmas.  I like norweigan because you can eat whenever you want and do whatever you want.  They usually have laundry rooms so you can wash the mud off of your clothes if they get dirty during a hike.  I plan to go on a xmas cruise and have done so before.  Once you do it, you won't want to do anything else for xmas again.  I went to ocho rios, jamaica, cozumel, cayman islands, honduras, belize...I highly recommend Norweigan's christmas cruises.

  4. just got back from doing a southern carribean on the newer crown princess,  the one with the outdoor "movies under the stars" what a cool experience.  It was during Easter holiday and they did a lot to keep kids busy.

  5. Here's my suggestion.  Last December we cruised on the Royal Caribbeans' Mariner of The Seas out of Port Canaveral for a 7 day Western Caribbean cruise.  The price during that time of year is great, except it may be more if you are cruising on New Years day.

Our cruise went to Cozumel, Jamaica, Grand Cayman and RC's private island, Labadee.  The weather was perfect, and so was the water temperature for swimming and other water sports.  The Mariner is one of five Voyager class ships.  It was launched in November 2003 and has some of the best on board activities including a roller blade track, an ice skating rink, a full sized basketball court, a mini-golf course, a rock climbing wall, and  a promenade down the middle of the ship that has shops and eating places.  It has a free ice show like the Ice Capades with former Olympic skaters doing the show.

The ports stops are great and you can get to 7-mile beach in Georgetown, Grand Cayman for about $5. each each way.  The private island on Labadee has some of everything, including  a new attraction, a zip line (fee for this).  Its a huge island with plenty of space, beach chairs, a market for local crafts and a good day of fun.

This ship has plenty of balcony rooms and also some inside rooms that overlook the promenade.

  6. Since "money isn't a problem", you may want to check out one of the ultra-premium lines like Regent or Oceania. You pay more but you get more. A definite departure from the experience on Disney, X, or Carnival...

  7. If you want to do something no-one you know has ever done before you, chose the Royal Mail Ship St Helena; it delivers mail from Britain to the remote island of St Helena a couple of times per year. It's at the same time an un-official cruise ship, calling at places like the Canary Islands, Namibia, and South Africa. Some agents sometimes offer that cruise in connection with a short African safari tour.

I don't know if they are travelling at the time you had in mind. Check their website:

Be careful!: There are other St Helena related websites out there that seem to contain computer viruses.

  8. I went on a cruise through the panama canal that time of the year. It was a 15 day cruise and it was awesome. We started in San Diego and ended up in Florida. It was with Princess cruise lines. It was a cruise of a lifetime and the panama canal is a must see as far as I'm concerned. The weather was warm and beautiful. Great way to spend Christmas.

  9. I would recommend Royal Caribbean's 7-night western Caribbean cruise. We just went on that on the Liberty of the Seas, one of the biggest ships out there and we had a great time!!!

Tons of stuff to do and see on the ship and we hit Labadee, Haiti, Montego Bay Jamaica, Georgetown, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel Mexico.

It was my first cruise and I am already saving for my next Roycal Caribbean trip!

The service was outstanding, the ship is unbelievable and you will always find something to do!!!

    Have fun!

  10. My favourite cruise line is Holland America.  I suggest a cruise around Cape Horn.  The weather should be Ok at that time of year, the scenery is beautiful, interesting places to visit and a cruise line that takes very good care of its passengers.

  11. My personal favorite was my cruise from washington state to alaska. it's a 7 day cruise and alot of fun. but during winter break it'll be cold(my family and i went during the summer and it was perfect). also the Jamaican and Cayman islands cruise was good too. they had so many different cool off-boat adventures i couldnt decide which one to do.

    i took Carnival and Norweigan
