  1. Depends what your looking for....Australia has so much to offer...the snow fields of mount Kosiosko....the great barrier reef of course...the wild bush - ayers rock...the variety of nightlife of both Sydney and Melbourne..the amazing beaches.

I grew up in Sydney...and its a great city...the people can be slightly neanderthal at times..but maybe thats my english superiority coming through :).

The reason id want to visit australia is really for the beaches...and people (just because of language...) and Sydney is Ideal for this...it's beaches are fantastic and there's always a pleasant relaxed vibe.

I'd suggest the Northern beaches  - great surf...nice pubs in Manly...home and away is shot at Palm beach which is the most northerly. anyway look it up...im babbling now

  2. Australia is vaste and has such a lot to offer. All places are really different . I have travelled Australia many times. Each city is unique. I think Sydney has one of the best harbours in the world. Out from melbourne are some fabulous road trips. ie the great ocean road is one. Brisbane has the Gold Coast near by with theme parks night life wonderful beaches great shopping. but my choice for something unique and different is to see the out back and the tropics which is fly into Darwin and take a campervan down through the Kimberlies to Broome. During april  to september is best . Here you can see an amazing range of different scenery . the aboriginal culture, wild life and a truly awesome adventure.

  3. I live in Adelaide, but I would not recommend you come here, there is nothing to do!! I'd recommend Sydney, as there is heaps to do in and out of the city, it is easy to get around, and not too expensive. If you are looking for a more relaxing holiday go to the Gold Coast, great beaches, theme parks and a laid back life style.

  4. As a tourist, Queensland, Sydney and Melbourne. Allow a week or more in each.

Depends on your interests, some people would find outback Australia a more worthy experience.
