  1. It depends on which dialect of Spanish you want to speak. I would probably want to go to Mexico to learn Spanish. That's the form of Spanish most people know.

  2. chances are if you learned spanish in an american school you were taught in castilian.

if that is so then spain is your best bet, if you want to try out some place else the dialect of Venezuela is the closest to traditional castilian.

  3. a mexican resort. (self-explanitory)

  4. I think a lot of answers you might get will be bias. People usually will suggest a country they've been to because they liked it. I also think where you want to go depends on why you want to learn Spanish. Mexico is great if you are planing on living in the US. There are lots of immigrants that move to the US from there.

At any rate, if you want to learn some Spanish before you go(not a bad idea) here is a site that is pretty helpful. They cut down to the phrases and topics that you'll hear natives talk about all the time. That way it's faster to know what you're going to hear them say. Your learning time is faster because you already know what they're going to say and you'll have a response.

  5. It depends on where are you from and what accent do you want to learn:

If you are from the U.S. go to Mexico or Puerto Rico (cheaper and the accents are the most used in the States).

If you are from Europe go to Spain (also cheaper for you and you will learn the original spanish)
