  1. monkey paw

  2. A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray. It's so interesting and original.

  3. Excepting the fact that that's almost always a "kiss of death"?

The film that betters, or even adds to, a novel is a rare thing indeed.

There is one I'd like to see, to tell a story that most people won't read in a book.  It might just make a great action movie even though it's true.  It probably wouldn't be considered believable as a novel.

    Synopsis:

Over three days in WW2, a ship is:

    Torpedoed.

    Damaged by bombs.

Hit by two crashing bombers, one remaining on deck.

Bombed, putting engines out of action.

Hit twice more by bombs, including loss of rudder.

    Not an armoured, compartmented, warship.

A tanker, full of aviation fuel. That had to get through.

"At All Costs: How a Crippled Ship and Two American Merchant Marines Turned the Tide of World War II, by Sam Moses."

  4. oooh i like this question. it would have to be Alison Croggon's series including books the gift, the riddle, the crow and the singing.

they are great fantasy books and would make amazing films. i think someone may already have the film rights to it. not sure

if not then i would love to see the flambards series as films. or a tv series. set in early 1900s before the war in the country with horses etc and romance - i love films like pride and prejudice !!!!!

  5. Noughts and crosses- Malorie Blackman, Diary of a crush- Sarra Manning, Candy- Kevin Brook

  6. Unwind

  7. I think it would be really cool if good books just got to be books and did not always have to be a movie.

I am starting to get really tired of all the book to movie translations.  Its like Hollywood no longer has writers.

I want an original movie, d@mmit!

  8. Kill Me Again by Leslie Rule.  I LOVE that book!!  Haha.  It's about reincarnation and has a bit of mystery to it.  Great great book!

  9. The Uglies Trilogy by Scott Westerfeld.

  10. A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray

Actually it will be one eventually, they already have a director, but things are going SLOW. I don't even think they're finished with the script yet.
