Where would that be? But more importantly WHY? What are your reasons for wanting to move there?

  1. What is some of your back ground?  Do you have a family or are you on your own?  I prefer the East Coast but where are you coming from?  I can tell you I wouldn't do Hawaii b/c the cost of living is way to high!!! Along with Alaska. 8-) I've lived in Tx and Chicago and am currently living in Charlotte, NC which we are loving it.  Although we loved Chicago too.  If you're single I'd definitely say Chicago.  The cost of living is higher but its the city of possibilities!  The people are so friendly compared to NY and NJ.  Its a melting pot too so you never know who you might meet.  The guy that said it about Chicago nailed it.  You can go out any night if the week and meet someone new.  We moved back to PA though b/c of family.  Wrong move, we were bored silly.  So then we choose Charlotte b/c its the number 1 transit city and is still growing, plus we have two young children.  We've been here for 3 months now and couldn't be happier!!!  The cost of living isn't as high as Chicago and is pretty reasonable plus its a great place to raise kids.  It has a major airport not like O'Hara or Atlanta but it does pretty good.  And even though we live in the suburbs we are only 25 minutes from the airport or down town.  It all depends on your situation though.  You can't go wrong with either Charlotte, or Chicago though.  My sister lives in Atlanta and loves it but traffic is so bad down there.  Our reason for moving here though was b/c it was the next major airport South of Pittsburgh and my husband could golf year round. 8-)

Be sure to read the article from Market Watch- Chicago in the 2nd link.  That helped us make our decision too.  Please understand though we Loved Chicago it just wasn't  a good place to raise a family!

  2. i think i would live in Hawaii

  3. Chicago.   My reasons being, Chicago is the hub of the business world.  The job market is good.  The location of convenient.  If you like extreme weathers, it is wonderfully hot in the Summer and you have water sports available (Lake Michigan, Lake Geneva).  It is cold in the Winter with plenty of Winter sports available.  A short trip to Wisconsin or Michigan for skiing, etc.  The city is full of parks, museums, art galleries, theaters and of course shopping malls all throughout.   O'Hare airport is one of the busiest in the world so every airline flies there so Chicago is accessible from all over the world.  I lived there for many years and loved it.  On the other hand if you want a lifestyle more like Aussie or NZ move to Florida.  North Florida (Daytona Beach area) is far enough north to get the seasons whereas if you live southern Florida it is Summer all year round which can get a bit boring after a while.  Daytona is exciting it has the International Speedway Stadium where the Daytona 500 is run every year, if you are into NASCAR racing.   Good luck in choosing you have a multitude of places to choose from.

  4. New York City.

It's busy, it's on the East Coast, it's nearby to other places. The fashion, the music scene. Etc.
