If you could make any vehicle into a hybrid, with intentions of purchasing it, what would it be?

Of cars I could actually afford I'd go with a Mazda Miata (I already have one but would've loved it if it had a hybrid counterpart), Pontiac Solstice, or Saturn Skyy. They're already pretty good on gas and have tiny engines.. I'd only fill up once a month! Lol..

Car I couldn't afford.. BMW Z4 or Z9 when it comes out. But by the time the Z9 comes out (2010?) I should be able to ::crosses fingers::

a car that i can afford that i would lov would be the s550 mercedes  or the bmw 750 wish this can be hybrides althought the new lexus ls 450 comes in hybrid

I agree with the Solstice or Sky - better get good gas mileage cause you sure aren't going to be hauling around a lot of stuff in them.

I would love to see the new Camaro become hybrid.  they are already increasing the mileage on that and the Vette with the variable drive engine, which is cool.  But they could do better!

Also do something s**y, to gain more media attention.

Corvette Hybrid? - Has a nice ring to it.

0-60 in 4 seconds, yet 48 mpg?

Corvettes have a potential to do better than the Prius, or other hybrids, because the body is already lightweight fiberglass, and the aerodynamics are better than other cars.

Plus people already spend a lot of money on these cars, so the extra cost of making the hybrid components can be "hidden" a little better, to where potential buyers don't even notice.

What do you think?

Of course we need a bunch of cheaper hybrids too.  I like your idea of the Solstice and Sky.  They're like GM's baby Corvettes!

A VWbug.  I love my bug, and it's ok on gas, but not as great as a hybrid.  I think that auto manufacturers of the world should unite to make all cars hybrid.
