While you can create wealth without necessarily making other  people poor, often that does happen.  In our rush to accumulate 'stuff' we have encouraged very bad practices in manufacturing all over the world where poor people can be exploited.  

There is not enough "stuff" in the world for all people to be wealthy, but it would be nice if all people could at least have decent food and housing, access to good education and not have to work 60 hrs or more a week to make ends meet.

Thats a great question actually.

I'd like to think I wouldn't do it, especially as I always regard everybody elses welfare above my own. However I suppose nobody would actually know until they are in that situation.

Would you do it?  :)
