  1. Traditional Cypriot food........i just love it......and yes, I'm with Maggie on this....but maybe instead of barring kids, I would insist that thay be kept under control, or the whole family would have to leave!!

  2. I have always dreamed of this, and it quite boring! lol

I would like a comfy, cosy upmarket greasy spoon cafe. lol

I would serve breakfasts, good home made food and snacks.

I like cooking for my family, and do it quite well, so thats what I would stick too

I would also allow people to "create their own" dish. So if you see something on the menu you fancy, but want to tweak it a bit, I would do my best to do so.

  3. Middle-East food, coz that's the BEST !!!

anyways, I would agree with maggie if adults include 13-year-olds

  4. Adult food because kids would be BARRED

  5. I would LOVE to open a "Hearty Escotarian" restaurant... lots of healthy, filling, real food... delicious fish and seafood and vegetarian dishes.

  6. a gastronomic voyage from around the world

  7. mine would be a nice bakery like panera. Soups and salads, pizza and pastries. Nice jazz music, oh yea.

  8. I would have a WorldWide Restaurant where you go into this elevator and click on which Country you would like to try the foods and stuff and then the elevator will take you there and they have a Menu for every floor..

    (Examples:

English - Roast Beef and Yorkshire Puddings. Traditional English Trifle.

Chinese - Sweet and Sour Chicken Balls. Banana Fritters with Syrup.

American - Burgers with Curly Fries. American Cheesecake.

Indian - Chicken Korma with Naan Bread.

    Mexico - Nacho's and Burriot's.)

Theres would be more choice and desserts and starters and all that and it would be in a sort of restaurant/building to fit all the floors in.

  9. I'd open an accessible fine dining establishment. I always feel intimidated by fine dining, and I want it to be accessible to the general public. I like the idea of a seasonal menu, so that's part of why I would do it.

But I also want to open a franchise of a particular chain called Max and Erma's. They are in several states . . . but not mine. And I think they'd do well in my home city.

Also, my fiance wants to open a Hecky's. It's a restaurant in Chicago. They have two locations. He wants to open one here (in Des Moines). If not that, he wants to at least sell the BBQ sauce here.

  10. A steakhouse.

    Everybody loves a good steak.

  11. it will be a rastafarian restaurant and i will sell all kinds of weed and hash brownies...lol

  12. I would cook food that is filling with loads and loads of fresh home-made bread. No silly little salads that taste lousy anyway but everybody eats them because it is the in thing to eat cow-food. My food would stick to the sides and i am sure it will do well. I would use loads of veggies but nothing will be pureed like baby-food .

  13. h**l yeah, Maggie.

  14. Me and my husband would love to open a restaurant. At the moment we are working full time and trying to save all the money we can.

My husband is Kurdish, so it would be a Kurdish restaurant. So, even for that reason it would be different from the start. The only other one I know of in the UK is in Edinburgh - we are in Birmingham. Kurdish is a little similar to Greek in the sense they eat a lot of lamb, tomatoes, aubergines and courgetttes and also they do dance, as the Greeks do, but the Kurdish dance is called Halparke. We would like it to be like 'party' place - people book for special celebrations and you get some entertainment of the Halparke dancing with them wearing traditional clothing and doing some singing.

  15. Yep, as long as it's had 'it's head over a gate' with plenty of potatoes - chipped, mashed or whatever and a good atmosphere.

  16. i would do a selection of food from all four corners of the world

  17. i would open a traditional British restaurant with great pub grub and a built in creche so parents can have some peace and quiet while they eat! go we so need one were i live!

  18. A caveman joint.

I'd serve raw red meat, and there would be 2 smoking sections.

I have red meat hanging around and my guests would be able to carve off the meat they want.

  19. i would open one that would sell the type of food that i like to cook.

and i would have a seasonal menu.

and as i would not know  what the catch of the day would be so the fish course would be decided on the day as would the vegetables.

so i would run it on a cart Di jour system.

every thing that i make would be 100% fresh produce and prepared on the premises including deserts and ice cream.

and i am glad to say that i have been in charge of an establishment like this .but i was not the owner.

and when i decided that it was time to move on the owners and staff clubbed together and got me some wonder full gifts and we enjoyed a fantastic final night of celebration for the time that i worked there

  20. french Italian Chinese Asian i would have different themes all the time like 60 nights 70 nights 80 nights french nights and the likes  plus i would enter all the compactions for food in the area if you win the local press will advertise you place free of charge
