Patterns, etc. I'd paint it like the Sistine Chapel. :P

  1. I like this question ....as I recently have been thinking about doing just that! What I have in mind is, to paint the sky but rather than show the obvious blue sky etc. I would like to see a "sky painting" depicting the celestial happenings that go on beyond the sky. Perhaps you could ponder what you think is going on way out in the "beyond" and paint all those interesting things going on. You might wonder...how would you make this composition look like it was the sky, my suggestion would be to make the horizon line of say....trees etc. or a city skyline, that way it is inferred that this is the 'beyond" of the heavenly or eternal realm. Good luck!

  2. i'd paint it blue... its the origonal way of the world and humens have already done enough to change and destroy the world...

btw environmentalist here so don't take any offence

  3. I love sunsets. I would like to paint the sky in red-orange and the blue turning purple. Gray clouds disappearing.....

  4. i would paint the sunset with warm colors pink, orange, yellow...

  5. sunsets are kind of cliche and unless your really really talented, can turn out looking a little cheesy. i would do a light but deep blue swirled around with different shades of blue (no more than one or two shades off...very subtle) and white clouds with a hint of purple. oils and thick layers probably but a flat acrylic could look neat and put together. just go very imaginative and daring because the sky it pretty plain so you can do so much with it! very exciting good luck
