  1. joe louis. great chin. knockout power in both hands. give joe 6-2 and a mean 250. cut like a rock. lets run this.

  2. A 6'1 200 even meldrick taylor would have been nice to see given his speed is porportional to his size.

  3. YIKES!  A GIANT SweetPea!!!

That's so funny.  I'm trying to imagine a 6'3'' Pernell Whittaker.  LOL.  I would have to say Ray Robinson would beat ALI if he were a natural Hvt. by your standards.  Robinson can do everything Ali did bit with greater ''scale'' power.

I don't think all of them would be effective at Hvt.  Also, they would not all be 6'3''.   Whittaker would be about 6'1''.  Robinson would be about 6'3'' 210  (LOL,  I wonder if their voices would be deeper too,  Man, you have a very vivid imagination).   Here are a few others and how they might appear as Heavyweights.

    Duran would be about 6'0''/211.

    Leonard would be 6'2'' 208.

    Hearns would be 6'5''/220.

    Hagler would be 6'1''/215

    Jones would be 6'3''/212

    Benitez would be 6'2''/210

    Pacquiao would be 6'0''/209

The reason I would not list ALL at the same 6'3''/215 is because if you are talking about styles,  some would just not be effective at that height and weight.

6'3''/215 is what I consider the perfect dimention for a Hvt.  Any bigger and he sacrifices speed.  Any smaller and he sacrifices power.  SOME can overcome these deficiencies.  Still, the Best Hvts.  in history are at or near these dimentions.

At 6'3''/215 a good hvt. could beat any one bigger or smaller.  That is why ALI and HOLMES are in the TOP of the CLASS.

It's similar to basketball.  The best players are between 6'6 and 6'9''  (Jordan-Magic-Byrd-Erving) to name a few.  Bigger plays give up grace.  Smaller players are often bullied.

These stats hold true in all sports where the best are within a certain height and weight range.

    Good question, interesting topic.

  4. manny pacquaio aint ****! ali would kill his ***!

roberto duran vs. muhammed ali = 5 weight class wins for duran

  5. I'd like to see sam peter magically shrink to bantamweight/minimumweight.

  6. Veeeery interesting topic. This is basically asking who would be better pound-for-pound. Anyway, I would love to see Ricardo Lopez at 6'3" and maybe 200 pounds taking on Ali. I would even love to see Floyd Mayweather try his luck at Ali. That would be very scary to see someone with that type of elusiveness and countering at that weight.

  7. Oh wow, the possibilities are endless. from a personal stand point i'd love to see julio Cesar Chavez move up to 6'3" 225 lbs. but thats just me. I'd also love to see one of my all-time favorites who nobody has been talking about and that is Azumah Nelson, d**n can he hit or what, those are my 2 small fighters i'd like to see move to heavyweights. and to the guy who said "No one could beat Ali in his prime"......are you kidding me? does the name Joe Frazier ring a bell?

  8. no one could beat ali in his prime

  9. do they retain their speed and is their strenght made proportionate to that of a heavyweight? In that case there would be many fighters that could give Ali trouble,(sugar ray robinson, charley burley, harry greb and even sandy saddler just to name a few, it is hard to make such comparisons because heavyweights are not going to be as fast as those in lighter weight classes and it is hard to imagine a welerweight as a heavyweight who somehow still retains all the qualities of of a welterweight....it's really all about physics and proportions.

  10. pacquiao.. i wud wanna see that

  11. sugar ray robinson !!!

  12. Joe Gans

    Jimmy Wilde

    Eder Jofre

    Benny Leonard

    Original Joe Walcott

    Sam Langford

  13. any smaller boxer would. they have more skills as boxers then a larger guys.

  14. The Marvelous one in my opinion makes the most sense. Southpaw+power+speed+awareness=TROUBLE

I think Pernell might be able to pull it off also but I think Ali would be almost as crafty but would have too much power for Sweat Pea. GREAT topic by the way.

  15. Julio Cesar Chavez or Marvelous Marvin Hagler.  I'd especially be interested to see how Ali would fare against Hagler.  He could box when he had to and brawl where needed.

  16. ray robinson, henry armstrong, and maybe willie pep, benny leonard, roberto duran, and on the outset - niccolino locche, jimmy wilde and bob foster (if he was naturally 30 pounds heavier).

  17. Sugar Ray Robinson
