  1. Hi.  Sorry for your loss.

I recently lost a close friend through suicide. The friend was a mental health counselor and so good at her job.  She helped so very many people over the years.  She herself had lost her only son 4 years ago, the body was never found. I guess ultimately she just had enough of barely surviving emotionally, though those of us around her weren't aware of her desperation.

Anyway, I bought a card some years ago by Maya Angelou.  I don't know if you know her. Maya Angelou is an African American poet, memoirist, actress and an important figure with the American Civil Rights Movement.  I bought it without knowing who I would give it to, and on reflection I wish I had given it to my late friend to let her know how important she was to me, how I appreciated her and missed her when she wasn't around.

    Here is the message:

No one knows my lonely heart when we're apart.  I know we have to be apart sometimes, but you are never far from my mind.  Until we can be together again, remember the love that is waiting for you always.

When we love people, I don't think we can ever tell them enough.

  3. Huh?... I love you?... not sure what you're asking, but "Huh?" is a good response for anything.
