Sigh, I'm "just curious" too as to WHY ask ???

  I don't deal in hypotheticals, but I suspect a scenario.

  I'd probably have to scribe the message on something other than E MAIL, or paper, and in Essence it would be more like a note in a bottle, than some Sci Fi experience.

  I would also suspect that by then, IF the species survived, they may have already learned how to create fire and tools for hunting and gathering, stopped walking around naked to the elements, and found the means to garb themselves.

  I'd probably have little to actually suggest other than an APOLOGY, for their situation, and hope they'd re-invented speech, reading and learning skills. Then perhaps wonder, "What are all those opaque containers, in what seems to be a land fill, dig site."

  They'd still howl at the moon, wondering why,,,maybe?
