But there are some fixed parties in the U.S. that no one hears of because of the new media.  they are not in the big money and thus news media leaves them out.

Not because they are not good ideas, or can do the job, but no money to speak of.

so if you want to start a new party, first make sure you can compete with the big 2, or the the big 2 will work against you as in the the time when they both crushed Perie in the ninties.

he had money and was a threat, so both big parties attacked him and cost each lots of money just to do so.
