In the UK they have Badger watching groups and Facilities to which people can go and enjoy an evening watching these unique animals. http://www.badger-watch.com

I think it would be great if we could set up a similar thing here in Australia so that we could go and watch our wildlife such as wombats, echidnas, numbats, platypus and other wildlife that is not so easy to spot and is not in a zoo.

  1. Yes, that would be amazing.  It is fascinating to observe wildlife in their natural habitat.  Austrailian animals are so unique, and it would be a thrill to watch them.  Here, in Cleveland, Ohio, we have a wolf habitat in the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, and they have an observation shelter.  It is soo cool to watch them, and thrilling to be that close to them.

  2. i do it all tha time it,s my fave

  3. I think we should live with them if we want to, but we must promise ourselves that we won't hurt them. These companies should not set up limitations for us.

  4. have something like you are talking about in the state i live. The wolf center has a veiwing are where visitors can see wolves in there natural habitat.

  5. I don't think you can construct the "viewing spot" without chasing off the wildlife.  They won't come around any more.  Then there's the problem with wildlife appearing on your schedule.  You might watch all day/night for one quick glimpse of wildlife that wasn't what you hoped to see.  The animals are not easy to spot for a very good reason, they're looking out for number one and intruding on the territory will absolutely make them "not so easy" to spot.

  6. We do it all the time in the states.  It's called a blind and I have seen dozens in my time.  Some just for observation ans some for scientific research and unfotunately some for hunting.
