  1. 1 Gold.

  2. In the Olympics, you go for the gold. You don't go for the bronze.

That's what's so silly about the medal count on Yahoo, it focuses on total medals when gold medals are way more important.

There are a lot of athletes who do go for the bronze. But they will never be known as Olympic champions. And they won't be remembered in 40 years. Only gold medal winners get the true glory.

Poor Asafa Powell will have a tough time staying in sprinting long enough to get another chance to get the gold medal. He's blown it twice.

  3. 1 gold

  4. 1 gold

No - one cares about bronze, even if you have 3, that means that you have come third all the time. (And are thus not very good).

If you win a gold, well, GOLD!

Everyone will think your the best! beating all the other people and being the winner!

    WINNER!

  5. I would want to win gold in Trampolining

  6. 1 gold..having 3 bronze mean you still cant get even get any better

  7. 1 gold, cuz you can win three bronze in beach volleyball

  8. Gold is worth like $800 per ounce, while silver is only like $13 per ounce.  Bronze is pretty much worthless.  So, I'd go for the gold medal because it is probably worth more when I sell it.

Besides, if you win three 3rd places in one event, then come the obvious questions.  So, you failed three times in a row -- why couldn't you win?  Who beat you?

On the other hand, if I could win bronze in three completely different sports - like track, gymnastics, and kayaking - now, that would be pretty cool.
