  1. Monaco....

  2. Singapore! I would like to visit there and witness the night races!

  3. Monaco, 1st class, treated like a king, where do I enter

  4. Suzuka

  5. I'd probably be happy to win an all expenses trip to any Grand Prix - can't see me affording to go to any anytime soon! But top of my list would be Brazil, Spa or Monza.

  6. This year, i'd go to Singapore. It would be really cool to see a night race.

  7. Definately NOT Monaco as it's the only boring race of the season (in my humble opinion!) with little or no chance of over-taking etc so that the result of the race is almost decided on the qualifying and the pit-stops.

However, Brazil - THAT's where I'd love to be with the drums etc adding to the atmosphere it always strikes me as 'the one to be at' !!

  8. All expenses paid? Almost 100% sure it would be Monaco, but Imola might be nice to see also.

  9. Suzuka, without a shadow of a doubt

Then I could go to 'Suzukaland' and go on the rides after the race!

  10. Monaco

  11. The last venue of the season, Interlagos or Suzuka, wherever it is.

  12. Fuji.

Maybe there are a couple better races but If there's one place I want to travel to at least once in my life it's Japan.

And I would prefer a more laid back environment at the race than Monaco, plus I'm married, I wouldn't want to lose my head with all the beautiful women lying on the decks half naked.

  13. I'd say Monaco but there are other races which are really good as well. Japan GP if Suzuka's the host. Other than that, Belgium GP (Spa) makes it to my list as well.

  14. Barcelona, or something Down Under (not that I'd actually go to the track).

  15. Definately Monaco.

  16. Spa, the best circuit in the world by far.

  17. Monaco for sure!memories of David Coultard winning in a smoking maclaren!what a race,what a circuit!

  18. I have been to many of the european circuits, including Monza, Imola, Barcelona and Monaco ( and that dirt track at silverstone).

Definately the best place to watch the Grand Prix is on TV.Trying to keep track of 22 cars travelling at 180 mph is not that easy.

It is almost impossible to follow the Grand Prix at a circuit, thankfully most of the circuits have large TV displays with English comentators.

Monaco is probably the WORST circuit, no overatking and because of the nature of the circuit, they have to build large safety barriers, which makes it impossible to see anything.

Best in terms of atmosphere are Monza and Imola, at the end of the race those crazy Italians like to race around the circuit waving their Ferrari flags.

Having refered to Silverstone as a dirt track, as a spectator, Silverstone is probably the best circuit in Europe, to be able to see large parts of circuit and follow the race.

But a trip to Brazil or Australia would be nice

  19. An important question to ask is, would you be going mainly for the Grand Prix experience, or would other (non motorsport related) aspects of the trip be of high importance to you?

Another point to note is that at a race you are in one position at any one time so in terms of following the race it is extremely hard. I have been to the British Grand Prix, and can honestly say that in terms of watching the race the coverage on TV is much better than actually being there.

However you're mainly going to a grand prix to see and hear the cars in real life as opposed to on the screen, and to experience the race weekend. So the choice of track would not necessarily be the one which has the best racing, but the one with the best atmosphere and one where more focus is on off track entertainement.

Having said all that. Bahrain would be pretty cool, it has a very high enclosure which would give a unique view of the race. Fuji, Japan would be great also as it appears there are some good grandstands, the fans there are mad, and the area has some nice things to see.

But my choice might have to be Sao Paulo, Brazil just to see Lewis Hamilton win his first championship!

  20. SPA Francorchamps or Silverstone!!

  21. I'm tempted to say Monaco, but I will go with Australia. There is no way I could afford to go there for a race and I'd love to go there so it would be like killing 2 birds with one stone.

  22. probably Monaco.

  23. the answer is SPA. Sick track lots of different people and did I mention sick and gnarly track
