  1. I think I would erase a few that I am aware of that cause me problems still 50 or more years later.  What I am made of is a lot more than memories.  They are important, but I don't think erasing a few would make that much of a difference in "who and what I am." I look at it like soup, you can take out a spice and still  have the same soup, pretty much, maybe not so spicy. Or, like writing a novel, in which you decided to eliminate a minor scene.  The novel will likely still hold together.  Ultimately, I think it would depend on how important the memory is, overall.

  2. That's a good question. There are a few memories that I wish I didn't have, and would be willing to erase. Believe it or not, if I didn't have them, it possibly would have a positive effect on me as a person. It can go either way. It can benefit the person, or it can destroy who the person is as a whole.

  3. I actually lost some memories (both good and bad) from a head injury I suffered a few years back.   I think I lost an important aspect of myself.  I say that because when my family or friends reminds me of the memory (which I have no recollection) I often do not think I would have behaved or thought the way they tell me I did.   I no longer have MY perspective - only theirs.

  4. you know

    if you erase "some" memories

you will be erasing what you gain

and what you had learn from thus mistakes

and you will make the mistakes again

you will not know who you are

    and

well if you really in to it

you can watch either the  butterfly effect or i forgat the other one

    but yeah

    ITS BAD!

    TRUST ME

    I HAVE ERASED SOME

    AND BLOK OUT MORE

  5. Erasing memories, interesting concept. I am who I am, for good or for bad, based on my interpretations of my life experiences, so I don't believe I would do it, or even recommend anyone else doing it. I have never had severe physical or emotional trauma though, and the human brain often will suppress such memories in individuals that have experienced such trauma. They still have some side effects, and the not knowing why they don't want to be touched or can't go into some buildings is worse to them than an explanation, no matter how horrible would be. If it were possible to have had something horrible happen to you and it could be erased, and no ill effects be felt, would it be wise to have it erased, I don't think so, if it were how would you ever experience empathy for someone else who went through the same trauma. A young marine watched his friends die in a horrible explosion, he has nightmares about it every night to this day. He doesn't want that image in his head. The memory effects his ability to function in society, but would it really be better to lose all memory of his friends, or the knowledge gained of how war is truly h**l, I don't think so. We remember things for a reason, and one day that knowledge will serve him well. Very good question though, it made me think, and that's never a bad thing.

  6. There are plenty of memories which i wish i didnt have but without them im not me so no i wouldnt change anything.
