If you cut open a chamomile tea bag and smoke the herbs what would happpen.

I don't do drugs and never intend to but.....i've always wondered what would happen if you cut open chamomile tea bag leaves......wrap it in paper and smoke it what would happen......would you fall asleep......i've always wondered

Pretty much the same thing as drinking the tea. You are just absorbing the compounds through your lungs instead of through your intestines. The smoke involved (especially the carbonmonoxide) would be damaging (this is part of what makes smoking so bad).

You might loose some of the effects (compared to drinking/eating it) because the compounds are heat sensitive and the burning would destroy them. Other than the above you will actually just be wasting paper and ruining a possible good cup of tea.

You'd get tired and i suggest using rolling paper and not printer paper

Matricaria recutita ~ Chamomile ..... You'd just be inhaling chamomile smelling smoke i'd say .....  and smoking is smoking no matter what u are smoking it isn't good for your lungs...the essential oils in the commercial tea bag varieties of the herb chamomile have been pulverised so much that any goodness has been virtually destroyed and could never possibly be of any therapeutic benefit.

Tests do show that chamomile may cause hayfeverlike symptoms for about 8 out 100 people who are allergic to ragweed.
