  1. I really don't think it should make a difference regarding your college admission. After all, I don't think really they look at your AP scores until AFTER you've been accepted (in order to determine whether you get credit for the tests or not). Don't worry too much about it; focus on your SAT score and your GPA in school. :D

  2. Same thing happened to me. i know how you feel

I got a B in an AP class, but did poorly on the AP exam ( i didnt pass)

the effect of failing an AP exam is that you dont get college credit, which means you will have to take that class again in college. :(

but, colleges dont hold it against you. if you failed (less than a 3) then thats alright. it will not affect your acceptance into a college. taking an AP class is good. it shows you are up for a challenge and are taking a more advanced class.

the purpose of an AP course if for 2 main things. 1st is for the weighted GPA grade. the 2nd thing is so you dont have to take that class in college, so you have banked up credits even before going into college. saves a lot of money. so there are good advanteges for taking an AP course.

but the main point in this whole thing is that it will not affect you if you failed an AP exam, the only downside is you have to take the class again (and personal/parental dissapointment and lost of $83 or whatever it costs to take the test)

i know all this since i did research myself, since i failed AP euro exam.... :(

yes, im really depressed since i did REALLY poorly
